He is recognized for his expertise in trading, refining, fabrication, marketing, innovation, and corporate governance. A promoter of emerging technologies, Mehdi led the development of anti-counterfeit security and blockchain-based supply chain traceability as well as India’s first, largest and most trusted digital gold platform. Mehdi has served on the boards of prominent industry associations and is a leading proponent of compliance to best practices, ethics, and environmental sustainability.

Jean-Pierre Danthine

Jean-Pierre Danthine is Honorary Professor at the EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne – College of Management of Technology) and UNIL (University of Lausanne) and Honorary Director of the Enterprise of Society Center (E4S). He was previously President of the Paris School of Economics and member of the Board of Trustees of the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) in London. He was a member of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank from January 2010 to April 2012 and its vice-chairman from May 2012 until he retired on June 30, 2015. Before joining the SNB, Jean-Pierre Danthine was Professor at the University of Lausanne and Managing Director of the Swiss Finance Institute. His publications have appeared in Econometrica, the Journal of Political Economy, the Review of Economic Studies, the Journal of Finance and other leading international journals.

Frédéric Dawance is a Managing Partner and Member of the Executive Committee at de Pury Pictet Turrettini (PPT), a leading independent Swiss asset manager and a pioneer in sustainable investing.

He manages the SWISS POSITIVE GOLD fund, which offers investors direct access to traceable artisanal gold sourced through the SBG initiative. The goal is to support the development of a responsible artisanal gold value chain and connect it with capital markets to meet the growing demand for impact gold.

Kieran Dobson

Dr. Kieran Dobson holds a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from KU Leuven where he led a team of researchers studying social entrepreneurship and venture philanthropy, splitting his time between Belgium and India. Kieran continues to publish academic research addressing the scalability, internationalization, and business model characteristics fostering impact for social enterprises including in the International Business Review, and the Journal of Cleaner Production. Today, Kieran is the Head of ESG Client Engagement for EMEA, engaging with internal and external clients on integrating, applying, and developing S&P Global ESG datasets, products, and research.

Aurelia Figueroa, Chief Sustainability Officer at Breitling, has over 15 years of experience developing and leading sustainability initiatives across the public and private sectors and in the fields of international diplomacy and social entrepreneurship. Originally from the United States, Aurelia first came to Switzerland to complete a graduate internship at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. She conducted her graduate and undergraduate studies in the United States, France, the United Kingdom, and India.

Alessandra Maria Gargiuloe

Alessandra Maria Gargiulo is a PhD student in the Department of Accounting at the University of Lausanne. Before starting her PhD, she worked in the trading and consulting sector. In 2024, as part of her academic work, she visited Columbia Business School. Her research focuses on how SMEs can finance the transition to net-zero emissions, specifically studying ESG bonds and sustainability certifications such as B-Corp Certification.

Gemma Kirke is a Global Marketing Executive with 15 years of experience in Luxury and Beauty. She has built renowned brands in Fragrances, Skincare and Jewellery, driving transformation and growth across Europe and the Middle East. Starting at Procter & Gamble, she later moved to Coty and Swarovski. In her latest role at Estee Lauder Companies, she led the Luxury Beauty Division for Switzerland. Here, she drove niche fragrance growth, and enhanced consumer clienteling and engagement. An advocate for purpose-driven brands and women’s leadership, she mentors through the HSG Women’s Aiming Higher Programme and led the Swiss Women’s Leadership Network at Estee Lauder Companies.

Through research and conference contributions, her engagement bridges academia and industry.

Dr. Nirav Mandir has been instrumental as a Chief Human Capital & Sustainability Officer with Shree Ramkrishna Exports Pvt. Ltd. (SRK), World’s one of the largest Diamond & Jewellery Manufacturing and Export conglomerate, generating a revenue of more than 1.8 billion US$. He shoulders the strategic responsibilities for SRK’s Global HR, IR, Sustainability, ESG, HSE, CSR, and Compliance. As a lead for SRK’s Sustainability initiatives, He is also the Project Administrator for SRK’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities rated among World’s Top 6-LEED: Platinum buildings by the U.S. Green Building Council.

He joined Harry Winston as PR & events manager, and later as Head of Communications for the Timepieces division. In 2007 Pascal joined the Fondation Haute Horlogerie as a Marketing/Development director, overseeing the development of the foundation’s activities in the markets and later in charge of the External Affairs. An expert of the watchmaking industry, he is now co-directing the FHH and also leads the Cultural Council.

Today, she is an investor at Collateral Good, a multi-strategy investment firm and corporate innovation platform dedicated to addressing climate change in the fashion, food, and packaging industries.

Her research focuses on how digital advancements, such as Digital Product Passports (DPPs), AI, and immersive technologies, are reshaping the luxury sector as we know it today.
